The Dark Knight Rises! Can't wait for Tom Hardy's Bane.
The Hobbit of course: Release Date:
14 December 2012 (USA)
Pixar's Brave should be brilliant and beautiful.
Oh, and The Avengers too.

So which movie are you eagerly waiting for?
I'm still waiting for a good movie to be released this year. It has not been a good year for Sci Fi movies. We've got one more chance on Christmas, that Sci Fi movie set in Russia looks like it might be good. Fingers crossed.
I would dearly like to see a screening of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy with Gary Oldman in a movie theater situation. Hmmm, I might even wear my olden trench coat to that one.
You don't have to wait to 2012 for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. It's coming out in its nationwide theatrical release 09 Dec. 2011.

Saw Tinker Tailor last night. It was awesome. Of course it helps if you've read the book.
I can recommend The Girl With The Tat also. Though the Swedish version was good too.

The American live-action adaptation of Japanese anime cult-classic Akira is once again on hold while they try to trim a huge amount of money from its budget. It was budgeted at $90 milllion and they want it down to $60 or $70 million. Essentially, it was budgeted below mega-blockbuster level and now it will be even lower if it ever does get made. Is it wrong that I want to see it just out of morbid curiosity?
The live-action adaptation will only fail as heavily as the animated adaptation did. If you've not read the original manga you should, MUCH better story.
I don't really wish to see another hack-job made of it. The nerd in me is sort of looking forward to The Avengers movie.
