@OmSigDAVID,
Since I am not a govt agency I don't know how I can violate their Constitutional rights. My employer can tell me not to say things or not to do things but this in no way infringes on my Constitutional rights.

By holding anyone in slavery,
u violate his 13th Amendment rights.
Government agencies r not relevant.

(Historical note: most slave holders were not agencies of any government.)

The difference between having a contractual relationship
and being held in slavery is freedom of volition
(in addition to the fact that one party thereto does not own the other one).

@OmSigDAVID,
So maybe I should have used a smiley when I said slaves. Please don't think I actually think of my children as true slaves. It was meant in jest.

They do actually have the chores I mentioned and we do not pay them for doing the chores. This is why I said slaves. Forced to work with no pay. Very Happy

I understand your point.
There is an implied tacit contract that u will give them food n housing in exchange for those services.
That might be OK, so long as thay do not raise the objection,
but what if the guy across the street offers them better accomodations? Thay r not like your horse.

When I was a kid, I took in my friend who 'd been thrown out
of the house by an angry father.
