I'm a bit stuck at the moment, so I'd appreciate all the help I can get! I'm in my final year of a Psychology degree and I am trying to apply for jobs. I also work part time in a call centre. I am having trouble identifying the skills I have acquired since being at Uni. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Look up resumes on the net, there are thousand of examples, read them and you'll get ideas of similar skills sets as well as good ideas on presentation.
Get a list of action verbs, this will help identify and send a powerful message to prospective employers.

Er - what did you study in psychology? Any special topics? is this an undergrad degree, or a post-grad?

What research have you done? Have you done field placements in work-places, if so what were they?

We need lots more if we are to help!!!!!

Look back at your course curricular - what are the topics?

What other subjects did you study that might be relevant?

Are you seeking work as a psychologist, or in another field?

Skills come in all shapes and sizes. There are "hard" skills, e. g., they're easy to quantify, such as

Quote:
Expert in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, filtering and macros

Interpersonal skills, e. g.

Quote:
I enjoy making presentations and my communications skills, both written and oral, are superior

and generally job-related, e. g.

Quote:
I am a self-starter and very detail-oriented. I am a team player (you can offer examples of situations wherein you worked in a team setting) and am flexible in everything I do (this sentence is weak but you get the idea)

There are also specific job-related skills, which you can get from the listings themselves. Let's say that you're looking for a therapist position (assuming you were qualified; this is just a for-instance). And, let's further assume that one of the items listed in the ad is "good listening skills". Then, you might write something like:

Quote:
My skills include empathy for my patients. I have excellent listening skills and work to help them achieve their therapeutic goals.
