Thank you!

We had a fantastic day. Antonio is becoming aware of his new home and surroundings and he’s doing quite well. Coming from condo living he loves having his own backyard, although he learned a valuable lesson today; never leave your toys in the backyard where the dogs can get them. My dog Frankie chewed up his favorite truck, and boy was he mad.

Antonio has his own routine, breakfast at a certain time, lunch and naptime. We just finished dinner and his dad is giving him a bath before bed, he’s in bed by 8:00 and after today I just may go to bed at 8 as well. I’m exhausted.

Hey!

This sounds exactly like my day! I'm not leaving my fire truck in the back yard anymore either.

Today we took a tour of the USS Independence. It’s docked here in St. Pete. Antonio had a blast! He got to sit in a helicopter. It was such a fun tour; we got to walk through 70% of the ship. Of course Antonio had to ask questions about everything, but the guys were very helpful, he loved it!

Photos were not allowed in certain areas inside.

Thanks for letting us see a "little bit" of Antonio.

Looks like he's really interested in that helicopter!

Antonio loves the dogs. When its time to bring them in we open the back door together and he calls them, tells them to get in your beds, which is their crates and he closes the doors behind them. I have had to put the dog treats where he can’t reach them, he thinks they need one every hour.

Antonio got me up at 3:00 am this morning, I heard him up so I got out of bed and he was curled up on the sofa with one of the cats. I put him back to bed but I couldn’t fall back to sleep so I just went to the gym way too early.

Friday nights are going to be our dinner out night so we are heading out the door for din din. Happy weekend!

@jcboy,
Maybe Antonio had a bad dream, it happens at times and he probably didn't
want to disturb you or his dad, so he curled up with the cat.

Good, you're forming already traditions - Friday night out to dinner is excellent!

@CalamityJane,
I was thinking the same thing, not sure what it was, he's very vocal. It sort of bugged me and I couldn't fall asleep after that.

He did something similar the other night, he loves the smaller dog Mac and he let her out of her crate and into his room. Mac was sound asleep with him in bed when I walked in to check on him.

@jcboy,
Let the dog sleep with him, Morgan! This is a new home for Antonio and
he might feel a bit alone. Kids do have nightmares and they just feel safer
if they have something or someone - like an animal around. A night light
would help too.

My daughter is already a teenager but without her nightlight on, she won't
go to sleep.

@CalamityJane,
That’s what I said. He just loves the smaller dog and there is no harm in it. Mac sleeps right next to him.

Antonio is doing very well, he loves his new home and he loves Morgan.

We’re going to a BBQ at a friend’s house in about an hour. Going to watch Antonio swim in the pool!

It’s our Sunday Funday!

I just put them both to bed. They were asleep on the sofa. Now I can have some me time and watch some TV.
