Do you have to have lots of followers to have one?
You don't "have" a forum. In the sense of discrete areas, the fora don't really exist any longer, except for the special user groups. If you post something about history, and it gets tagged "history," it becomes a part of the history "forum" by default. If you post something about religion, it becomes a part of that forum.
At one time, years ago, the site's threads were distributed among fora (just so hou know, fora is the plural of forum), and those fora could be explored for their content. Now threads are tagged, and each tag is a means of linking together threads which have the same tag, and those function, for practical purposes as the fora used to do.
@Setanta,
Oh! I get it now! Thanks a ton!
@GracieGirl,
I sent this in a private message to you, but forgot that you may not have access to PMs until you've been around a little longer. So, here's a copy.
Gracie,
Here's a slightly out of date tutorial on how to navigate this website. Hope it helps make it easier for you to find your way around here. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to help.
