How to insert graphics into a post?

I want to insert into my Conundrum Theory post some conceptual drawings I've done. Questions: (1) How do I put the graphic into the text at the appropriate spot? I can see the [img][/img] button above, but don't know how to actually put something from my hard drive between the two sets of brackets. (2) Can I go back and do this in the post I've already submitted? It was a devilish amount of work to manually format the essay, so I'd hate to have to do it over. can't do it from your hardrive, the image must have a url, so the pic either has to exist on a web page currently or you must host it some where

but this

A lot of people use photobucket to upload photos so they can link to them.

Thanks! This just goes to show that if I ask the right question in the right place in a polite way, the answer is usually forthcoming. The only remaining question is: can I go back to a post I've already made and retrofit the graphic into the text?

I just got the answer to the second question. Duh. I just go back to the post and hit edit. Bingo. This is a great place to interact with neat people!

Sorry. Once a post has been made, the only chance to edit is lasts about a minute or so long before the window closes. I suppose you should write a new thread in order to include said new graphic images.

Just as an experiment, I quickly hit "edit" and here I am, back again. What did happen was that the [img][/img] bracketed codes went away, but not he URL] Once again, here we go . . .

is this the image you are wishing to post?

if so... click on the green "quote" button above to see how I have placed it in this post.

in photobucket - you need to copy and paste the bottom (4th) box which is the IMG code Very Happy

(It will automatically have the img boxes around it).
