So I'm sitting and watching television.
The phone rings except I don't know that because the ringer is turned off. Then a message starts coming in. I hear talking, but by the time I got to the phone, the caller had hung up.
The caller referred to me as Ms. and said her name. I didn't recognize it. Then she told me that she called to tell me that there's a show about cheetahs on PBS.
I appreciated the thoughtfulness. Obviously this person knows me. But who is this person.
One minute I smile about the phone call, and the next minute I'm uncomfortable.
Is the caller someone from here who's name I don't recognize?
BTW, there was a second show about cheetahs on Nat Geo.
@dlowan,
No, I'm wondering who it was and how this person got my name and phone number.
I don't feel cheetahed. Actually I'm a bit cheetahed out. Two shows, one night.
@Roberta,
It' gotta be someone you know.
@dlowan,
Gotta be. But I didn't recognize the name. And it was suggested in the call that this person doesn't live near me.
A person with an accent.
I'm mystified.
@roger,
Roger, you woulda been my first guess, except that you're not female and that your name is Roger.
@Roberta,
Leopards are better anyways.

You don't KNOW from crumpled until Roberta gets through with you.
@Roberta,
Maybe its a cold call from the Cheetah Foundation, a nonprofit org to get more people to watch cheetah based nature documentaries?
Strange days Roberta.
First, the mystery is solved. I got a message from the person who called.
Krumple, Leopards are neither better nor worse than cheetahs--and vice versa. They just are what they are.

Cheetahs are
not sufficiently well armed,
in consequence whereof, their food is too ofen stolen from them.
@OmSigDAVID,
Yes, David, this is true. In their evolution cheetahs sacrificed strength and retractable claws for speed.
Roger, I think you've got some kinda complex. Nobody is accusing you of anything--at least not here, not now. Relax, kid.
@Roberta,
It's my face. I'm always the first suspect, so I must just naturally look guilty.
So who was the caller???!!!
@Roberta,
Can you see the phone number? Most phones now show previous calls and lists the number. You could do an internet search for the phone number and if it is listed you can find them.
@chai2,
(guessing it was a telemarketer... waiting for 'boida to confirm...)
