It seems that some people, when they see you not taking someone's ****, assume you're like this with all people.
Not so, if you're kind and wonderful (and I mean truly kind and wonderful, not just acting the part) it will be returned in kind.
Problem is, and this is not just true of scammers on the internet, but there's a lot of people who give lip service to be polite and nice, and act afronted when you see through their act.
They're trying to scam you into buying their act.
