@Rockhead,
It does make me curious though, would bear grease be an acceptable item as opposed to bacon for the Jewish populace observing strict dietary law?
Are bears allowed?

Interesting about the fake crab and the wheat. Since I don't eat crab real or fake (it would be like cannibalism on certain days) that doesn't directly affect me.

Oddest thing is the places wheat shows up. Foods I had never suspected. (been reading ingredients lists a little more than I was)

@Sturgis,
the worst part of bear grease is getting it from the bear.

most folks can't get over that hurdle, I think...

I bring my extra strong glasses to the store and spend some time reading. I've learned a lot of weirdness and some spookiness since I started being sicker.

@Rockhead,
Show off! I don't handle rice well at all.
At least dairy products haven't rejected me yet.

My local Safeway store is having a buy-one-get-one free sale next week on the Transocean Crab Classic (all styles). These things tend to be nationwide. Don't know if your Walley's runs specials, but you may want to keep an eye out. Also, there are a number of really good deals on shrimp (cooked and raw) during Lent. That goes for fresh and frozen fish too.

@JPB,
I've been watching, but wally's is set at $2.50 a pkg since I been buying it.

That's not terrible, I use a half a package for a cocktail. and it has me eating more celery...

mmmmm.

new product alert.

found some rockin' gluten free brownies from french bakery.

I was worried, because anything french usually disagrees with me. even strauss.

but then I found out that they are really in minnesota, and I was ok with it...

@Irishk,
I will have to try that one this winter when I play in the kitchen.

having a silk almond milk with dark chocolate in a cute little carton.

very tasty.

kinda pricey.

but the chocolate mellows the almond kick, and it's not too sweet like a lot of them...
