@edgarblythe,
It is easy to hate and it is difficult to love. This is how the whole scheme of things works. All good things are difficult to achieve; and bad things are very easy to get.

@vonny,
And the best smiles are when it is himself he blames it on.

“Isn't it sad how some people's grip on their lives is so precarious that they'll embrace any preposterous delusion rather than face an occasional bleak truth?”

@edgarblythe,
But what would happen if nobody ever embraced any preposterous delusions and we were to be faced with occasional bleak truths with nothing in between?

I assume that Bill Watterson is an exceedingly superior sort of cove. One wouldn't wish to be deluded in that respect eh what?

@edgarblythe,
“Passion, it lies in all of us, sleeping... waiting... and though unwanted... unbidden... it will stir... open its jaws and howl. It speaks to us... guides us... passion rules us all, and we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love... the clarity of hatred... and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion maybe we'd know some kind of peace... but we would be hollow... Empty rooms shuttered and dank. Without passion we'd be truly dead.”
Joss Whedon
