a wonderful, restful vacation with my daughter. Beach and food and sleep. Period. Fabulous. I'm recharged.

@farmerman,
actually i burned a little even though I was under an umbrella, and I have only burned once or twice in my whole life. It makes me want to do some research about whether there are chemical changes in your skin as you age that make you more vulnerable to sunburn.

In a related note, it would seem I have a melanoma on my foot. I'm going to have it biopsied first of the week.

@blueveinedthrobber,
you arent sure its a melanooma are you? If it is get that out ASAP. I started going all to shiot when I turned 60 last December.

I find that, when Im driving a long distance, I have to try real hard to make believe that everything doesnt ache when I get out of the car.

All umbrellas are not created equally.

Also, light reflects off of the environment, and still gets you.

Wear sunscreen.

@blueveinedthrobber,
Ain't nothing like the beach, even for a pasty, almost translucent Irish American like myself.

@blueveinedthrobber,
good.
I had a big black one on my hed and I was concerned . The doc took a biopsy and then froze it off with some refrigerant (I thibk it was ether and probably saline under pressure). It went away after a few weeks and my head is beautifulk again. It was looking like a black brown map of Asia so we all thought it was melanoma. it wasnt (the doc also thought it was so dont be real concerned-just get it handled )

I'm not too concerned because I don't believe God will take me. He loves His creation and without me, what would the world revolve around?
