@vln1812,

@vln1812,
A lot of it has to do with the length and thickness of your hair. When my hair is long (past my shoulders) it is mostly straight as a board. But, when I have it cut short, it drives me crazy because it is so wavy and curly in all the wrong places.

When I was younger, if I wanted my longer hair to have some wave in it, I had to have it thinned to remove some of the weight of the hair so it would relax and curl. Now that I'm older and my hair is thinning naturally, I just keep it short and let it do what it wants to do.

@vln1812,
When I was young, I had extremely curly hair, but when my hair suddenly turned straight after having an appendectomy I wondered why hair texture changes.

@vln1812,
I am afraid it has something to do with your shampoo, I am not so sure.

@vln1812,
Health/diet, hormonal imbalance, medication, chemical treatment and other stuff can affect the hair texture. So, it is highly recommended that - you consult your personal beauty wellness consultant or a dermatologist for hair evaluation/diagnosis. That would help.

@rachelgomez,
Sure. Doesn't everybody have a personal beauty wellness consultant on retainer?

@vln1812,
There are a variety of factors can actually change both the colour and texture of strands through the years.
1.Stress
2. Hot Heat
3.Chemical Treatments
4.Genetics and Aging
5. Medical Conditions and Illness
6.Pregnancy
