Apparantly wmwcjr, you and I were in the control group, as I never read anything by him, and I guess you haven't either.

I wonder who was getting the placebos?

Well, to tell you the truth, I did follow his posts assiduously because his exchanges with raprap and other members were entertaining. So, I guess I wasn't a part of the control group. I must confess that I'm automatically drawn to prolonged online altercations, as long as I'm not a participant; and I think you know what (and whom) I mean. And when the insults are truly cruel and designed to hurt the other person as much as possible (which was not quite true in this case, at least not to that degree IMO) -- although I find such expressions to be morally offensive, I'm still all the more fascinated in a horrified way. That's just the dark side of my pysche showing through.

And, yes, gang, when I posted previously in this thread, I did realize that Renaldo was using the word "we" in the editorial sense. I was just trying to be a little funny. I would have liked him to have described what this "experiment" was.

By the way, I did a Google search on "Renaldo Dubois" and discovered that he had been banned at www.politicalforum.com. Don't know why, though.

Strict guidelines on informed consent have been set by the Association of Social Researchers. I will report this to them so that he can never inflict this on anyone else.
