At last! The increasing trend of sexual assaults of males and females in the service has become the subject of discussion in our press (
http://www.newsweek.com/2011/04/03/the-military-s-secret-shame.html ).
I’ve been in the army and fully agree with the statement that "sexual assault isn’t about sex there, it’s about violence". Simply it has become typically for US military to demonstrate their power and domination through such assaults now. The high victimization rate of US soldiers – representatives of local national minorities (for instance, the Reds) and Muslims. And it is quite natural. You see, they are always low-ranking and that is why more vulnerable. Obviously, it leads to their sabotage in hot spots or attempts to punish their affronters through killing them.
Maybe, it is inimitable style of US democracy... What a discredit to the army, supported freedom and democracy in the whole world!
