Henry is now five years old and Harry is four, that means they can continue to grow probably for another ten years, usually doubling in size every year.

I’m thinking about getting another one.

Cool
That 's wonderful!

@OmSigDAVID,
Henry and Harry won’t come out of their shells. I had to bring them in the house because it’s going to get cold tonight. I have them in a large plastic bin in the laundry room, later I’ll cover them up with a towel.

Yes; I can see that u r a good parent, Morgan.
If I were there, I 'd want to pet them,
but I know that it wud not have the intended effect.
I guess that the only way that u can make them happy
is to feed them what thay like, right ?

Thay sure r a couple of good looking fellows!

@OmSigDAVID,
They get along great, its kind of funny, Henry is so heavy Harry can’t push him out of his way so he will climb over him.

I just found this photo taken in February 2009 not long after I got Henry, this was his first home. He grew out of it fast!

@jcboy,
from a beautiful landscaped home to a plastic laundry tub

how the mighty have fallen

poor Henry

when you think about how much he's grown in 4 years and he's got another 50 - 60+ years .... he's going to be enormous ... you'll need a saddle to ride him around the yard

@OmSigDAVID,
Here are the two of them together. The smaller one, Harry is about to have a plate of butternut squash with some diced cactus.

After we moved I had to cut the opening to their house because Henry could no longer fit, looks liked it will need to be enlarged again real soon.

@OmSigDAVID,
Just think David - soon you'll be a resident of the same state as Henry and Harry. Perhaps you'll get some tortoises yourself?

(have a great, safe, uneventful move)

Thank u for your kind thawts, Beth.
I have always been a pro-tortoise person.
I will be very HONORED to inhabit their State,
but I travel a lot; I 'd need a good tortoise sitter.

The area of West Palm Beach; I had a bad fire
and I decided to re-locate, as I had wished to do for some time,
but I was daunted at the prospect of packing up 54 years worth
of personal property, at that address, for the trip. Now that it
has been all burned up, I can travel light.

I 'd love to have the baby sulcata tortoise Morgan, but I fly a lot,
attending conventions of groups to which I belong
and he 'd need more care than I 'd be around to give. Thanks for the offer.
