OK: yes, inasmuch as Congressman John Bingham, the author of its first section,
including its "privileges or immunities" clause asserted that he intended to reverse, negate
and reject the USSC's holding in Barron v. Baltimore that the Constitution (Bill of Rights)
does not mean what it says, thereby restoring its original meaning,
that was conservative of the original (pre-Barron) meaning.

Unfortunately, the USSC fought back in its Slaugherhouse cases,
taking no notice of what Bingham had said about his Amendment.

Certainly not. Thomas Jefferson made this point clear for all time. All men are created equal. Period. That is to say, every citizen deserves to be treated equally by The Machine. Not to say that all people have equally good qualities, but all people are born with equal entitlement. Politicians are merely citizens who are paid to consider full time matters which should be of concern to all citizens.

This being said, I must add that I think most politicians are the scum of the Earth. I suppose there must be some who get into office only because they want to help their fellow citizens, but it looks to me as though almost all of them are merely con artists who want power.

One fellow can be born of a DNA mutation
whereby he can see farther, hear better, remember better
and figure out solutions to problems faster than anyone
and he is heir to a huge financial fortune
whereas
the guy across the street is born with worse DNA, deformed.
Thay r not equal.
If government or anyone else treats them the same, thay remain unequal.

@OmSigDAVID,
I clearly explained:

"That is to say, every citizen deserves to be treated equally by The Machine."

...The Machine being society. Stupid people with poor health deserve to be treated the same as smart people with good health. I made it pretty clear to anyone who read my post.

@Brandon9000,
We AGREE on what u said,
but I wanna point out that NO ONE is equal to anyone else -- not even to a clone of himself.
