Does anyone have a good Irish Cream recipe?
Prompted by something Cav posted, I went on the 'net, but there's some odd combinations out there.
I used to make one with coffee condensed milk, whisky and I can't remember what else. It was seriously good - indeed addictive. I used to race home from work to have another glass, etc., and I don't even drink whisky!
Suggestions!???
And Happy New Year.
IRISH CREME
1 3/4 c. Irish whiskey
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 c. whipping light creme
4 eggs
2 tbsp. chocolate syrup
2 tsp. instant coffee
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Dissolve coffee in whiskey. Place all ingredients in blender and thoroughly mix. Refrigerate. Makes 5 cups. If settling occurs, hand shake before serving.
HOMEMADE IRISH CREME
1 3/4 c. bourbon
14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 c. whipping cream
4 eggs
3 tbsp. chocolate syrup
1 tsp. dry instant coffee
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. almond extract
Process all ingredients in blender until smooth. Will keep in refrigerator up to 3 weeks. Stir before serving. (Serves 4.)
And Cav has a killer recipe for this, too. I would PM him if I were you. But make him share!
Mind you, it will combine youe sclerosis of the liver with a nice infarct - but toujours gai, Archie, toujours gai!
Actually, I don't have a recipe....but one day I will figure out the secret of our friend's recipe, through trial and error.
Thanks, Misty
Actually, it was Cav saying he was working on that recipe tht made me ask
