Never buy a DELL computer

According to the internet it is a year and the length should be right in the paperwork that came with the computer.

Bill, Thanks, will check it out, but it seems that DELL support people should know all this.

the basic service/warranty is for one year.

There seem to be some strange miscommunication here that you are just going to have to handle with dell.

Yeah, the specs sold me at $499; 4 gig with 500 gig hard drive, and fast processors. What can go wrong, right?

Several month ago, we bought 14 DELL computers, they all work perfectly,
the customer service is excellent and I have a 3 months free warranty and
can extend it for minimal cost. I only dealt with DELL directly online and
even got rush shipments without additional charges, and even got a bigger
monitor on 2 computers for the price of a regular one. So I am happy with
DELL.
