Many americans are now out of work who are in their fifties or sixties and they get shunned routinely. This is very disheartening. My father went through it, which resulted in not much food in our house when I was a teenager, and that was the least of it re family decimation.

There are whole industries out of work, such as much in construction.

You don't know much, Goldman, and I highly recommend you start reading at your local library. That's is how I did it, learning - I read book after book.

It's true that directed learning could be a help, but in your case I figure you'd subscribe and never be dissuaded from the books recommended by the first person.

This is not my business but I am suspecting you aren't having someone who knows about your situation of both being very bright and socially questioning - to help you.

I'm fine with your being a christian, but I think that is not relevant to your problems of communication. I hope you will look for help.

I'm no psychologist, but I and a few others here are guessing you are living the life of someone with autism or aspergers. I don't know enough to even guess.
But I do know there is help out there, even in your neighborhood.
