I usually use caps when I want to emphasize something. How do I do the others?

@JGoldman10,
Use the coded icon buttons in the banner above the text window when you are in edit mode. Do you see B, i?

Otherwise you can code them by hand with open-bracket bold endbracket.
Code:[b]
and
Code:[/b]

@JGoldman10,
Make sure the BBCode Editor link has the following options visible:

Highlight the text then click the corresponding buttons.
Or you can type the code out as accordingly.

@JGoldman10,
Use of caps could be considered amateurish and to be YELLING. Most people will respond negatively or annoyed when you use caps. Typically they'll ask you how long have you been using AOL.

Incorrect ... (ellipsis) are for a different purpose - not for emphasis. They are used to indicate an intentional omission of a word in the original text. An ellipsis can also be used to indicate a pause in speech, an unfinished thought, or, at the end of a sentence, a trailing off into silence ...

@Ragman,
Most people will be annoyed anyway when someone posts 20 times in one day, caps or not.

@JGoldman10,
Seriously? It's the same on most forums, or when you write a word document or write an email or whatever. Haven't you used a computer before? B is for bold, i is for italics and u is for underline. . But you could just keep SHOUTING at us. Personally I find your posts most entertaining.

@JGoldman10,
Well you're a minority of one, then, who does that. Most people use bold or italics for emphasis and caps for yelling/shouting.
