Bob Graham hasn't been mentioned and I've heard his name bandied about.

I'm personally not interested in speculating this early, though it should be a Southerner for balance.

Everyone have a marvelous Christmas.

Graham would be a good choice for several reasons, not the least of which is, he could improve Dean's chances of winning Florida.

Now, if we'd be living in a world in which Madeleine Albright would be considered an appealing candidate ... <sigh>

What a drawing card Hillary would be. Grab some of the votes from the densely populated north east as a New York Senator, then head south with the corn pone. She ought to carry Arkansan, anyway.

And what hobitbob said, Acquiunk. Thanks for the stimulating conversation over the last few months.

But Clark would carry Arkansas as well.
It's the female votes that are important. Afterall, it was the females and Jews that elected her as senator.

I believe Clark has declined.

Edwards would be solid. But why not look to the Midwest.

I'll be honest--in about 4 months I'm gonna start a fairly intense job search--and Canada will be high on my list:(

I already answered here...

John McCain if there's any possibility of that happening, though I see it as unlikely!!!

The reasons are listed in the link above but the main ones are that he's a war hero and will get a LOT of moderate votes.

Clark doesn't seem like he has a lot of substance behind the man. He has no policy plans, all he EVER talks about is his experiences in the army. It sounds like he's running for Secretary of Defense, not for the Presidency.

Hillary Clinton is an even worse choice IMO. I just don't see anything she has done that suggests she's the best choice for vice president.
