I was watching a movie yesterday and one character was talking about how Man can be like an animal, if he chooses to. He said something like:
malos manos, malos animalus.

Anyone know the real Latin phrase?

The only phrase I know along those lines is homo homini lupus (man is a
wolf to his fellow man), but it doesn't look anything like what you recall.
