It's a bit early, but we're having a2k visitors from Germany during the last week in May.
The weather will be nice(r) here in Northern California, and thought it a good idea to see if there is any interest from others to come to San Francisco/Northern California during that period/week-end?
I'd be more than happy to be a driver-guide to some of the great venues in Northern California while you are here.
I need to get a head-count to see how many are interested in coming between May 24th to the 31st.
We can decide on venues where to meet and when later on.

Airfare from Cville to SF isn't bad. $400 or so, but only if the return flight is a 6 am flight or a red-eye, overnight thing. I can't handle that, so it's more like $500. Hotels in SF are pretty cheap. My brother and his family stayed at the Hotel Des Arts (I think that is the name) near Chinatown for $100/night.

$500 r/t from Cville to SFO, and any hotel for $100 in San Francisco are good bargains. Have you decided on dates yet?

I am assuming that Mr & Ms Walter are looking at being in SF 5/25-5/31. I was looking at a couple or 3 days in that time frame. My schedule depends on when they will be there, of course.

It's been a week since I last posted, but nobody else has shown interest in coming to San Francisco.
This is an opportunity to meet your fellow a2kers in one of the great cities of the world.
How come more of you aren't showing interest? I'm curious.

rjb, Did you make your $400 air reservations? You do know that the longer you wait, the higher the price? Besides, Cyclo said he's treating everybody to hotdogs and beer(s). You must take advantage of such an offer; they're not made frequently!

Well, I've missed this thread.
We'll arrive on the 26th late afternoonish/evening and will fly to Boston on June 1 about noon.
