Hi :
This is a serious request :

' Vita est quoque brevis laboro per asinus '

Would this be an accurate translation of ' Life is too short to work with assholes'
How do you make asinus plural ?

Thank-you,
lynnley

No

The nominative plural of asinus is asini.

@George,
Hi George :
Thank-you for the reply. would you know how to translate : Life is too short to work with assholes' into Latin.
This is actually for a in-house motto for a friend's engineering company.
Definitely 'tongue in cheek' , but actually at the heart of the companies hiring policies.
Thanks again,
lynnley

@George,
Hi George :
Is there any particular method or program that you would recommend for me to use to study Latin . It seems like such an 'orderly ' language and is a part of all aspects of our western culture . As I am a nurse , I am familiar with all the medical terminology which is based on Latin.

Thanks again for your assistance
and expertise,
Regards,
lynnley

@lynnley,
I learned mine the old-fashioned way -- in school.
That might be difficult given your nurse's schedule.

I've seen elementary Latin grammar texts available in bookstores.
I'm not sure how good they are.

But I would definitely start with some elementary text or class.
It is indeed very 'orderly' and I think you'd need to get familiar with such
things as declensions and conjugations. Alas, there aren't many places
to go to immerse yourself in the spoken language.

@George,
Thank-you George . I have seen books on Latin grammar in the stores.
Unfortunately when I was going to school , they didn't offer classes in Latin .

I'll get a basic book on Latin and begin the journey : )
Would it be okay if I e-mail you if I have any questions that I can't find the answer for ?
Again , Thank-you,

Regards,
lynnley
