Merlin said, "Harry, being the smart guy he is, simply keeps the house in sight to his left (or right) as he walks to moor."

Good enough, if it works, it works. "Harry had stayed at the party all night and it was morning when he decided to go for a walk. It was therefore a daylight walk."

BLT #4
"Now, you didn't tell us the dimensions of the flat spaces at the shallow or deep ends of the pool,"

There was a very good reason for that; it was to make it impossible for anyone to work out a volume. However, Merlin being a bit of a wizard did.

"For a total volume of 600 cubic meters which is 600,000 (6x10^5) litres. " Faultless math.
However, and you had better sit down before you read any further…

"swims, would you believe, 50 lengths of the pool."
No water is needed as it must have been full in order to swim 50 lengths.

Now remember; How long a minute is depends on what side of the bathroom door you're on..

(BLT#5) The strange case of Harry Trotter the President
It was the year 2045 and, would you believe, Harry became President of the USA. On the day he took office, Harry held his first high-level meeting at the White House. The meeting was held in a south facing room. It was daylight, it wasn't raining and it wasn't foggy. But still, when Harry looked out of the window, he couldn't see the top of the Empire State Building.

The question is:
Why Question

(BLT#6) The strange over-shopping case
Harry and his wife have 2 sons who share the same birth date. Whenever they go shopping for their children they never fail to buy three of everything. For example, the last time they were there, they bought 3 pairs of canvas trainers, 3 T-shirts, and 3 pairs of jeans - and all of the same size.

The question is:
Their children don't need any spare clothes, so why do they do this Question

Magnum, "for 3 weeks i'll be i marmaris in the sun "

Have a wonderful time, and let us know how well it went. Razz

(BLT#7) The strange case of the sandy back
Oglo and Iogo were two fun loving 6 year old boys having a great day out on the beach. After building dozens of sand castles, they laid down on the sand, on their backs, for a well earned rest. When they later got up to play with their kite, Oglo's back was full of sand but Iogo's back was perfectly clean.

The question is:
Why did Iogo go down to the sea to wash his back while Oglo stayed where he was Question

(BLT#8) The unfortunate case of the plane crash
Harry owned the modern charter aircraft which he bought in France. It was carrying, amongst others, 12 Swiss families back home after their 3-week lake holiday. The flight crew were from Italy. Unfortunately, the plane developed a serious malfunction and crash-landed on the border between Switzerland, France and northern Italy.

The question is:
Looking at this purely from a legal standpoint, where should the survivors be buried Question

Birthdays are good for you;
the more you have, the longer you live.

One Sunday morning, he wakes up after a late night out and for the first time ever he just can't be bothered to shave. He goes out for his Sunday run along his normal route and this time it takes him one hour and twenty-five minutes to complete.

You obviously haven't fished the Great Lakes! However, the one you threw the sword in probably did not or the lady would have been swept away.

BLT#21) Who messed up the lawn?

Harry was walking past Benny's house one day when he noticed 5 pieces of coal, a carrot and a scarf lying on Benny's lawn. He thought that was odd so he knocks on Benny's door and asks, "Why did you put those bits and pieces on your lawn, Benny?"
"I didn't put them there," says Benny," in fact, nobody put them on my lawn. But there is a perfectly logical reason for their being there."

What is that reason Question

(BLT#22) The taxi driver mystery

Harry was in a taxi on his way home. Max, the taxi driver, knew he was a well-known chatterbox and didn't want to engage in conversation with him. So he pretended to be deaf and dumb. He pointed to his ears and mouth to indicate to her that he couldn't hear or speak. This ruse seemed to work. The journey was peacefully silent.

When they arrived and Harry got out the taxi, Max pointed to his meter. Harry looked at the meter, read what he owed him, paid him and walked off. However, he almost immediately realised that Max could not have been a deaf mute.

Ok! I will give you that. "BLT#19 1980 refers to the number of coins, not the date of the coins. So 1,980 5c coins equal $99"

He also wrote, BLT #21
"Frosty lost his hat." Cool

A very cryptic (correct) answer , "BLT#21 The pieces of coal, carrot and scarf were used by Benny's children to make a snowman. The snow had now melted."

(BLT#23) The special book mystery

Harry was talking to Jon one day. "In one of my books, Jon, the end is in the first half of the book and the preface is in the second half. Not only that," said Harry, "but the foreword comes after the epilogue, and the index precedes the introduction."

"That's amazing," said Jon, "What kind of book is that?"

How did Harry answer Question

(BLT#24) The car park scam

Harry owned a private outdoor car park. His charges were $1 per hour or $5 for the whole day.

One snowy winter evening, Harry arrived to lock up for the night. He asked his attendant, "So how much did we take today, John?"
John replied, "Sorry boss, we only took $50. We had just 10 cars in and they parked all day. The last one has just left."

Harry quickly deduced that John was lying to him about the receipts.

How did Harry know this Question

O/S
David and Angela play a game of tick-tack-toe. In this game, the players try to get three circles or three crosses in a row (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal).

They follow the following rules:

• A player always tries to win: if a player can place his own symbol (X or O) in a row which already contains two of his own symbols, he will do so.

• A player always tries to avoid that his opponent wins: if a player can place his own symbol (X or O) in a row which already contains two of the symbols of his opponent, he will do so.
Of course, the first rule has precedence over the second rule, because the game can be won in this way.

In the game shown on the right, 6 moves have been done. David plays with crosses (X) and Angela plays with circles (0). However, we don't know who started the game.

Harry replies, "a reference book."

BLT #24

I would guess that the snow did not have any tire tracks. Or that parking spaces showed where people had parked.
