Oh Jovana, (AKA: You know who) you were so missed, I was checking the Haverhill Gazette for any mention of you; heck, I even checked the Eagle Tribune.

I thought you had made your way to Hollywood, become a big star and was too busy to visit. Anyhoo, big hugs back at ya! You get some sleep, I'll keep watch.

Several cartons of candy are being shipped from a manufacturer to warehouses where they will be repackaged to sell to stores. The candy in each carton needs to be divided equally among 3, 4, 5, or 7 stores.

What is the least number of pieces of candy that each carton can have Question

Many years ago when gasoline was only 46 cents a gallon, I stopped to fill up my truck. I gave the attendant a $20.00 bill and waited for my change.

Unexpectedly, he charged me for the number of gallons that the truck needed instead of the dollar amount.

(for example if the truck took 8.4 gallons he would have charged me $8.40. Because he did this, I received less in change than I should have.

The funny thing is that I had received in change exactly the amount that I should have been charged for the gas in the first place.

Remembering that the cash indicator on a gas pump will only charge to the nearest half-cent, how many gallons of gas did I buy that day Question

I am slightly late today due to the fact that I got lost in thought. It was unfamiliar territory! So much so, that I feel like I'm diagonally parked in a parallel universe.

TTH:

ACRIML = criminal Cool

candy = the LCD of 3,4,5, & 7 Cool

Which we all know is: 3 x 4 x 5 x 7 = 420

gas = 13.7 gallons Cool

13.7 gallons at 46 cents = $6.30 ( to the nearest 1/2 cent.) Therefore, my change from the $20.00 was $6.30 as I had been charged $13.70.

TehMeh:

NBOEGW = Begin NOW! Cool

Mark:

-8 / 2 = -4 Cool Cool

1-7/x+8/x^2+2/x^3 = 2(1/x-1/r)(1/x-1/s)(1/x-1/t).
So, 8 = -2(1/r+1/s+1/t).

A very good morning to you Jo, never mind about breakfast! Let's get down to a li'l more smooching; etc, etc, etc! Razz

Would you believe it! Jovana: Meaning; its source is Yochana, a Hebrew name meaning "God's grace." The Hebrew Yochana was translated into Latin as Joanna or Johanna.

Over time these developed into the Old French Jehan(n)e. At various points this string of ancestors spun off many modern variations that have enjoyed a great deal of popularity.
