Mornin' all. I dream of a better tomorrow... where chickens can cross roads and not have their motives questioned!

So what's been going down dude's?

TTH:

A collapsed chocolate soufflé

5mph x 3 hours=15 miles and 3mph x 5 hours=15 miles to get back so the total is 15 miles. Cool

Just let me check my scientific calculator:

Let's set it take x hours for them to ran away, y hours for them to walked back,

x + y = 8
5x = 3y

Solve for x and y,
x = 3, y = 5

d = rt
= 5*3
= 15 miles.

Yup! Good guess. Laughing

Hey Thoh, you are doing as good as me! But, this time I reckon you have got him. Rolling Eyes

Oh goody a new game; bring it on… Twisted Evil

Good random choice! Actually, the game can be fully fleshed out by hand in about 10-15 minutes. I'm at work now, and I don't have access to the winning position spreadsheet I created. Although you picked the correct starting number, I want to make you work for the victory (if you deviate from the winning path(s), you'll snatch defeat from jaws of victory); so I'll post my next move this evening. Maybe you'll have it analyzed by then...

Same goes for you, Try - although you're on the path to certain defeat. The cube game takes longer to analyze, but only because it has a larger range.

Story of my life! Sad

A group of 100 Taliban soldiers suffered the following injuries in a battle with the US Marines: 70 soldiers lost an eye, 75 lost an ear, 85 lost a leg, and 80 lost an arm.

What is the minimum number of soldiers who must have lost all four Question

So why is it; no one is watching until you make a mistake? Love may be blind but marriage is a real eye-opener.

Mark:

SOLDIERS
100 - (100-70) - (100-75) - (100-80) - (100-85) = 10 Cool

Add up all the injuries, and you find that 100 soldiers suffered a total of 310 injuries. That total means that, at a minimum, 100 soldiers lost 3 body parts, and 10 (the remainder when dividing 310 by 100) must have lost all 4 body parts.

(In reality, as many as 70 may have lost all 4 body parts.)

What has luck to do with it? I'm on a roll here.

Cubes:

338 + 8 = 346

Again, I can pick any number - perhaps this game is flawed.
