SHALL I COMPARE THEE

Two uppity numerators were comparing themselves. The first one could compare itself to a summer's day 88 times in one hour. The second, revelling in a languorous summer daze, took 1 and 3 quarter hours to compare itself 88 times. Working together how long did it take the numerators to compare themselves to 88 summer days?

Although we do miss Trot, JD Drew is doing just fine. Fenway Park is also intact and not in danger of being sold off.

There is a rumor, however, that in the search for a president of Red Sox Nation, one candidate is coming to the media's attention. Boston Dirt Dogs reports that one ?'fan' suspected of ill intent has nominated himself. Tryagain of A2K may have ulterior motives for seeking presidency. It is reported that his intentions as president will not be to stop the games, but to use the park to further his own interests. He reportedly plans to use a portion of the infield to grow daisies and pansies to supply his garden club, the beer stands will serve lemonade only and between games he will allow etc to use the dugouts to hold Bible classes.

Fenway Faithful are, of course, very upset about this and there has been talk of a lynching.

And your point is? I can see nothing wrong in any of that report; in fact I think I come out pretty well.

"…he will allow etc to use the dugouts to hold Bible classes."

Madam; you go too far, or should that be; you don't go too far enough. I forget which I find most reprehensible. Laughing

"there has been talk of a lynching."

Oh, please; talk of lynching is so like yesterday even. Do keep up to date; Line dancing is the ultimate sanction! Twisted Evil

Apart from that I hope ya'll are well and had a good weekend. I can't stay as my second coffee awaits. I will return; God willing after a light lunch. Just talk amongst yourselves.

BTW is it true Epenthesis is posting here as part of a community sentence; to reduce his jail time?

Hale Storm

To say that 10 1 9 2 8 3 7 4 6 5 5 6 4 leads to the seventh eleven would be almost criminal.

Alice, Bob, Carla, and Denny each have a different kind of measuring stick. Each stick is marked with equally spaced units, but the spaces are not necessarily the same from one stick to another.

Alice's, Bob's and Denny's sticks each have been broken off at the beginning of their scales. Carla's is not broken. Alice's scale starts at 11, Bob's at 33, Carla's at 0, and Denny's at 17.

Each of the four people measured the depth of a pond at the same spot. Alice's stick read 91; Bob's stick read 113; Carla's read 160; and Denny's read 177. Then, with his stick, Denny measured Carla's height. His stick read 89.

What reading would Alice's measuring stick give for Carla's height Question
