Hi try,,, sorry to bore you but did you ever feel like telling God Jesus and oh yeggy to rot in hell like i do now? Very Happy

I could live completly ALONE forever and be happy as a clam at high tide! I'd like to Thank God for turning me into a complete loner! Jezabay and Basil were right about it never ending!

Ever meet so called goodness and found nothing but selfish, hypocrasy,,, ? hypo = fat and lazy, crasy = crass as in no class = hypoccrasy,,, do you see it? Amen means~ what is stated above is absolute truth. So what's it like to be happy and fortunate,,, anyone?

Every second of my lives has been fake, false and disillusioned.
Satan has been better to me than God, Jesus and Yeggy.
Amen

At a large store, the average number of years of service was 13.5 with a standard deviation of 6.2 years.

If an employee is picked at random, what is the probability that the employee has worked for the company less than 5 years Question

(Ba + 2 Na )/2 Question

Pssh....give me some credit!

X is a normally distributed random variable with mean = 13.5, standard deviation = 6.2. Therefore the probability of a sample being less than 5 is given by the CDF.

CDF(x) = 0.5*(1 + erf( (x-mu)/(sigma*sqrt(2)) ) )

(this is not closed form because erf must be computed numerically, it is a real bitch. I used this online program to calculate it: http://www.wessa.net/rwasp_cdfnorm.wasp)

= 0.0851925060627422

(Ba + 2 Na )/2 = Y Cool

True contentment is almost close to perfection,,, or at least it ain't half bad!

Stuh:

"Pssh....give me some credit!" "You mean to tell me you guys have been using programs to get your answers." Shocked

Good point, but it really didn't need all that computing power:

Let x be the standardized value, n be a given value, m be the mean, and s be the standard deviation.

x = (n - m) / s
x = (5 - 13.5) / 6.2 = approximately -1.4
P(t < 5) = P(x <1> 1.4) = 0.5000 - 0.4192 = 0.0808 = 8.08%
Hence, the probability is 0.0808 or 8.08%. Well close enough!

There is a single 21-foot vertical pine tree growing in the middle of Marks large flat yard. On a certain day, the sun will rise at 6:00 am and set at 6:00 pm.

At noon on that day the sun will be directly overhead and the trunk of the pine tree will cast no shadow. A traveler lay down the night before this special day, and was awakened in the morning when the sun's rays reached his eyes, which were 13 feet due west from the tree.

To the nearest minute at what time did he awake Question
