A certain turkey flock has as many turkeys on a given day as the sum of the number of turkeys on the previous two days.

15737

april 7 has 79 turkeys, april 8 has x turkeys, so april 11 has 158+3x turkeys = 542 so x=128. then keep adding until the 18th to get 15737

Thoh:

TURKEY:

15737 Cool

april 7 has 79 turkeys, april 8 has x turkeys, so april 11 has 158+3x turkeys = 542 so x=128. then keep adding until the 18th to get 15737

They say you should never work with kid's and animals, guess what I cop both, so try to work with two unknowns, say A = the 5th number and B = the 6th number.

Then A + B = 79.
B + 79 = B + A + B = A + 2B = 8th,
2A +3B = 9th,
3A + 5B = 10th, and
5A + 8B = 11th = 542.

So solving the system {A + B = 79 , 5 A + 8 B = 542}
gives 5 A + 5 B = 395 , 3 B = 147, B = 49 , then A = 30 ;
we get 30, 49, 79, 128, 207, 335, 542, 877, 1419, 2296, 3715, 6011, 9726, 15737.

On the other hand, this problem is simple if you use the Golden Ratio.
542 * phi^7 = 15737 where phi=(1+sqrt(5))/2.

Mark: too gross for words Shocked Laughing Laughing Laughing

I think this needs to be placed in context: Confused

288 (144 = one gross) therefore 288 = Two (Too)
WORD (1)
WORD (2)
WORD (3)
WORD (4) =four (for) word(s)

So: too gross for words Very Happy

How many people, men and women, were on the thread Question

Now you solved all the riddles, thoh, and what are we going to do now?
Tweedle our thumbs? Laughing

Okay, I'll give you something here....

On the picture below you'll see the field of Farmer Egli in Switzerland.
A new IRS officer has visited him and is trying to figure out how much property taxes Farmer Egli needs to pay. Egli told him, that in recent
years he paid 100 SFR (Swiss Franks) for the rectangular area,
200 SFR and 300 SFR for the triangular areas (all in grey).
The property tax is proportional to the area. How much does Egli
need to pay for the blue area?

Actually thoh I am real lazy right now and the only one I think I know
is safety in numbers. I am even to lazy to post the question. So, we have something in common- lazy. I am not double checking anything. I still have work to do.

Safety in numbers? That is a joke. I find that funny. What if you are surrounded by alligators and you are in the middle. Would you feel safe? I wouldn't. Rolling Eyes
