Thank you for those kind words. Although he looked somewhat older - about 80 years. He was young at heart.

I contend that 31 days is correct for (i). The 1st is one day frm the 2nd, two days from the 3rd, etc.

vi. ?
vii. Each tire was used for 16,000km, but traveled the full 24,000km.
viii. 6
ix. 1 and 41
x. Apparently the sales clerk knew the rule was short and took that into account since the first sentence says he bought 50m. Perhaps he only thought he bought 50m. In that case, he actually got 49.5m.

I think it was Mark's attorney who wrote, " I contend that 31 days is correct for (i). The 1st is one day frm the 2nd, two days from the 3rd, etc."

I hear what you are saying. However, as Rap says, "August 1st is a Wednesday, September 1st is a Saturday"

As the question asks, "How many days is it from…to…" 31 + 1 = 32

That said, you answered the question you saw, and that answer was correct. This being the season of goodwill, please accept a further 20 points, and 10c of your next burger.

I can't believe I said that! After all, if I waz to git me a tattoo, it would be a BIG Harley banner with the words, "Born to be bad ~
got sidetracked "

My dear Rap, it is not a conundrum, it is a bloody disaster. I have committed a grave sin by mistyping a code! It don't get much worse than that. Embarrassed It should have spelt out:
TINY LEAKS WILL SINK MIGHTY SHIPS

"I think there are several answers to the pop can problem."

I think you are right.

xx) Two numbers
A+B=AB
if A & B are both odd, then A+B is even and AB is even, but if A&B are odd AB is Odd, so A&B cannot both be odd
if A is odd and B is even (or vice versa) the A+B is odd and AB must be odd. But id A is Odd and B is even AB is even, so neither A or B can be odd

This leaves A & B as even, and if they are even they are both divisible by 2. so A+B=2*[A|2]+2*[B|2}=2*{[A|2]+[B|2]} and AB=2*[A|2]*2*[B|2]=4*[A|2][B|2]
and since A+B=AB then 2*{[A|2]+[B|2]}=4*[A|2][B|2] and [A|2]+[B|2]=2*[A|2][B|2]
This can only occur if [A|2]=[B|2]=1 so 1+1=2*1*1
if [A|2]=1 then A=2 and if [B|2]=1 then B=2
so the two numbers are A=B=2

xxi) you got three pets on dog, one fish, one rabbit and if the dog is a beagle you'll soon be down to two pets. So get a cat for the dog, and you'll soon be down to two pets again.

What is the length of my stride Question

xxi) lawn. sidewalk side length is L. Lawn length is Lw. Sidewalk Area is given by L^2-Lw^2=(L+Lw)(L-Lw)=40 and since L-Lw=2 then L+Lw=20 so 2L=22 and L=11 & Lw=9.

The area of the lawn is A=Lw^2=9^2=81 m^2

xxii) Stride exact I'll assume means whole so 9.49 or in reality 949 has to be a composite number and it is cause 949=13*73. So I'll assume you aren't a midget and your stride isn't 13 cm and you took 73 of them, so you took 13 strides and it is 73cm. So the length of your stride is 0.73 m.
