I posted the questions at, 9:43 am.

Mark had to log on, read and type. All of which he accomplished by, 9:52 am. Shocked

I ask you, nine freeking minutes. I have not been so embarrassed since I went skiing, and left my skis at home. Embarrassed

Therefore, in an effort to reclaim lost kudos, it is time to get serious.

To kick the contest off, I need help with my homework. Can you solve the following simultaneous equations (i.e. Find out what w, x, y, and z are Question

2w + 3y - 2z + x = 2.15
3x + 2z + y + w = 12.25
y + 2z - 3x + 3w = 10.35
5z + 2x + 4y + w = 22.90

Whilst Mark is becoming confused with that, we follow up with:

A ?'Whodunit'

Pan, Harry, Alec, Angileque and Tea-Tea are animals in a zoo. The other day one of them ate an animal called Tabitha. Shocked

Who ate her and what type of animal was it Question ATE HER

(Rap, is "find the inverse" an open puzzle?)

There are a number of ways to reach the answer. I give an example:

Note: when you see a star symbol (*) it means multiply.

2w + 3y - 2z + x = 2.15 (1)
3x + 2z + y + w = 12.25 (2)
y + 2z - 3x + 3w = 10.35 (3)
5z + 2x + 4y + w = 22.90 (4)

(3)-(2): -6x + 2w = -1.90 (5)

2*(4) + 5*(1): 12w + 23y + 9x = 56.55 (6)

3*(5) + 2*(6): 30w + 46y = 107.4 (7)

2*(4) - 5*(3): 3y + 19x - 13w = -5.95 (8)

(2) + (1): 3w + 4x + 4y = 14.40 (9)

Using equations (6), (8) and (9):

3*(8) + 13*(9): 61y + 109x = 169.35 (10a)

(6) - 4*(9): 7y - 7x = -1.05 (10b)

Using equations (10a) and (10b):

7*(10a) - 61*(10b): 1190x = 1249.5
x = 1.05 (Divide both sides by 1190)

(From this point on, you can use any combination of equations)

Substitute x = 1.05 into (5): 2w = 4.4
w = 2.20 (Divide both sides by 2)

Substitute w = 2.20 into (7): 46y = 41.4
y = 0.9 (Divide both sides by 46)

Substitute w = 2.20, x = 1.05 and y = 0.9 into (1): -2z = -6
z = 3 (Divide both sides by -2)

Summary

w = 2.20
x = 1.05
y = 0.90
z = 3.00

It would appear my ?'new start' hit the buffers, before it left the damn station. Crying or Very sad
However, a new day brings new hope I may be able to redress the 2-0 first innings deficit. Twisted Evil

Sorry, I missed you there.

All I know is, for a small state, Victoria has some of the best sightseeing and most fascinating places in the whole friggin country. From the heady gold rush days that saw grand hotels built along the streets of outback towns to the dramatic scenery along the Great Ocean Road. So I guess you must be from the snowy mountains of Mt Baw Baw.

As for your invite, if you don't mind I will have a XXXX, and throw another dingo on the Barbie. Laughing

Whilst your math of subtracting one from 27 cannot be faulted.

It is often said, "A single line, a cube it does not make". Laughing

Idea The centre cube is number eight.
