We went to a blues bar (of course) with 130 other revellers, danced, ate good food, then rang in the New Year, came home, had a glass of champagne and went to bed. Nice evening, overall.

let's see

come home from work

Set was washing floor mats - boyDog's got diarrhea Confused Evil or Very Mad Sad

I'm bathing the dog, running to the door to try to get him out before another accident ....

wash four more floor mats Confused

run to Thai resto to get four orders of plain steamed rice to get the dogs through the weekend

clean up dog's dirty behind and tail feathers
again

sleep in a ball on the loveseat downstairs so boyDog and I are near the doors

happy new year!

(it's been 12 incident-free hours now ... boyDog is tired but seems to be doing better)

I made black eyed peas with a ham bone in it, so we'd be all ready for today.

That wore me out, so I had to wait until today to make the cole slaw (cabbage and blacked on peas on new years day, doncha know)

I had wally taste test the cole slaw, and he said there was too much vinegar in it.

I said "Oh, let me go take some out" Rolling Eyes

It's our 17th anniversary today, so I think that's a pretty standard type conversation between two people.

@chai2,
I think if you add flour, the vinegar taste will go away.

mebbe not...

I just tasted the cole slaw.

There's not too much vinegar in it.

I guess that solves that alleged problem.

@Rockhead,
Ed would be crying like a little bitch. I'd like to give Ed some lsd just to see what happens.

btw, Ed is one boring son of a gun as well.

At Bill's house? We were swapping stories, and when Ed told one, the upshot of it was "and then I went and looked in the clothes dryer again, and I'll be, that green towel WAS in there."

@chai2,
I have a coupla friends who are so good at stories like that I only invite them over when I'm ready to go to sleep. Good friends like those are really hard to find.

For some reason, dog diarrhea just sounds so much worse than other kinds.

One thing about the Pacc, he never suffered this displeasing effication. Or, that I ever saw, the opposite.

Sympathy re the clean up.

@ossobuco,
it's only the second time it's happened to Bailey in over a dozen years

the last time was when I adopted Cleo and she brought some bug with her

I can't imagine trying to deal with a litter box on a daily basis. A couple of times in a decade is often enough.

Steamed rice is great for wonky tummies - canine and human.
