If you reply to spendi, his rhetoric is that you're doing exactly what he knew you'd do.

If you ignore spendi, his rhetoric is that you're too afraid or can't answer his questions.

He only aims to attack ego, for which he's quite skilled. This isn't skill at debate, but rather at provocation. I suspect that like most people, he sticks to what he knows (annoyance), and avoids what he doesn't know (science).

JPB has got spendi quite right - he IS our a2k "Stewie" from Family Guy.
He can be annoying as hell, and he knows it, but in all his oddity you still have to like him.

Now, cicerone on the other hand....Laughing he's gotten so feisty, I wonder if he's eating too much spinach!

Why are we bothering to discuss spendius anyway? Confused
Are we bored out of our brains, or something ?

@msolga,
Good point... we should... uh... argue about saying "Merry Christmas" versus "Happy Holidays" or something. It's been at least two years since we had one of those threads.

@failures art,
Well, I can certainly think of far more interesting subjects for discussion, anyway. Neutral

More turds from those deficient in real civility, humor and imagination.

I remember that one. I suppose some topics repeat. How long until Set creates a thread about RG?

If only. On the evolution thread he fills page after page with his opinions on science. I looked up the name, Google says "Spendius, a slave of Hamilcar, captured at the battle of Argunisae, who becomes a leader of the Mercenaries during the Revolt"

Annoyance for sure but maybe there's more to it?

Continue to google, in a short while it will be unveiled and the zaïmph taken away from your eyes.

@Francis,
Believe it or not I read about the zaïmph too. It explains his pseudoscientific notions on evolution how?

@electronicmail,
Under what kind of logic your question is connected to his name, I wonder...

Spendi is a natural born contrarian, religion and science are a mean for him to exploit human foibles..

Sometimes I indulge in verbal exchange just for the sake of fun...

@Francis,
Can't figure out why so many are hoodwinked by spendi. It seems quite obvious that spendi is a "natural born contrarian." That's the only entertainment he offers.
