What with the economy and all, I propose we just have one gift this holiday season, and regift it to one another.

I just happen to have a stunner, which had been regifted to me.

Behold, the circa 1972 "Rain Lamp"

The nude Venus stands amidst plastic ferns, whilst warm oil cascades around her, simulating a gentle rain.

I regift this to..........

Mame.

There, my Christmas shopping is done.

I wonder who Mame will regift it to?

Good morning, Chai, and thank you for that lovely lamp. I don't think I want to regift it but if I must, then I am regifting it to djjd62. As you may know, dj lives alone, in squalor, and doesn't believe in Santa Claus, so giving it to him will not only brighten his ghetto apartment, but his heart as well, and may revive his belief in Jolly Old St. Nick.

wow, i don't know what to say, it's, uh, lovely

but really it would look perfect in tai chi's school house, the plastic ferns a reflection of the real ferns that surround them, the cascading water reminiscent of the solar shower she so enjoyed

plus mr. fix-it loves Tchotchkes

It's lovely...truly...but really, we have so little space it couldn't possibly be shown off as it deserves. I'm thinking margo might really like it. All that cascading water could remind her of her recent holiday in Britain. Oh definitely, let's re-gift it to margo!

(as for you, little brother...no wine gums in your stocking this year!)
