I just got called a feminist on another thread.
Apparently, I was supposed to be upset by this, and maybe deny it.
What have you been called, where it's supposed to be an insult, but your response is apt to be "Thanks!"
A few years ago, this guy was working in our house, including weekends, which really started to get on my nerves. I felt the lack of private time.
Because he wasn't somone I wanted to talk to anyway, I tried to make an effort to be occupied when I had to be home, and he was there.
Many times, the solution would be to put my nose in a book.
Finally, one day he looked at me, with this half disgusted look on his face, and said "You're always READING!"
...um...yeah?

Actually, it was just a leap of someone's logic. He said, since you don't have any balls, you must be a feminist.
I think Phyllis Schlafly would opt for a sex change operation rather than be assaulted with the conclusions of that logic.
Phyllis? Is she still alive?
@chai2,
Oh yeah I've had that one, (you're always reading), or you don't go out drinking, (getting pissed then laid) and get this one, she always does what she wants, well duh. Eco warrior and everyone should be a feminist chai.
Damned feminist ball cutters . . . yer all alike . . .
I get called a liberal all the time on this forum. I don't mind, I guess I am compared to some, but I don't view liberalism as a dirty word. lol
Tell the truth . . . yer a New Democrat, ain'tcha?
That would make me a commie...lol
I have voted for them, but only because I believe Alberta needs some opposition to the died in the wool conservatives we have had in power for ever, or at least since before I was born.
Mind you, I live in the only riding in Alberta that had a liberal member in Parliament, while the rest of the province was a sea of blue.
@chai2,
I'm reminded of the exchange between Otis Redding and Carla Thomas as they have an insult fest in "Tramp"
Carla: Otis, you
country.
Otis: That's good!
Not quite right, when I looked it up:
Carla: You're country.
Otis: That's all right.
Carla: You straight from the Georgia woods.
Otis: That's good!

I've been rightfully called a nerd.
Bitch.
I actually loved that.
@chai2,
Ask Dyslexia what he thinks of Feminists if you want an ear full. Have your fire extinguisher handy.

and then ask Dyslexia what he thinks of humanists and you will again get an ear full.
@dyslexia,
What do you think if humanists?
I have my water hose close by.

I seem to recall a while back someone accused me of arguing like a lawyer.

I was actually
called a commie on a thread here not so long ago, Ceili.
I can't tell you how downright
affronted I was!
@msolga,
Well, I can see you're all red from here... lol
@Ceili,
Yep, that's me, alright.
Just not "freedom loving" enough, I guess ...
