I wouldnt pay for a colour scheme. So I'm a tightass sue me.

I actually like the whitespace.

Just like in a newspaper, you tend to notice the ads with more white space around them.

Certainly the philosophers seem to want colour changes but I think that was more a product of EVERYTHING being different from what they were used to and familiar with than serving a usefull function.

Maybe you need colour schemes (and groups) if further amalgamations are intended... just to help people feel more at home.

@Robert Gentel,
IMHO, colors on the site are fine as is. They're either pleasant or non-interfering.

No, I and wouldn't pay for a change to the color scheme.

However, I'd consider paying a one-time fee of between $5 or $10 USD as I see the site as having real entertainment and information value over the long-term.

As for enhancements, I would be more interested in seeing search improvement and search navigation as existed before.

Concerning the financing of the site: I always favored the idea of freely given donations. I don't see that it compromises the site owners, the site or the members.

I don 't begrudge $5,
but I don t know what themes or "skins" are.

I don 't see anything rong with A2K as it is; I think its fine.

@OmSigDAVID,

skins are different color schemes for the appearance of the site.
so instead of, say, light green buttons, you could load a theme with light blue buttons...
