Perception and Hobbit Bob . . .

The last few days, i've been thinking about members who used to be around all time, but whom we have not seen in years . . .

Perception
Hobbit Bob
Scrat
Kitchen Pete

. . . from time to time, others occur to me. Some of them, i can't recall their screen names, like that guy in Guam. Who do you remember from "the old days" (odd expression, only possible in the hyper world of the internet--eight years is really not that long)?

@Setanta,
"That guy in Guam."
I think you're thinking of Pueo.
(Easy to remember. The word means 'owl' in Hawaiian.)

Well, easy for me to remember.

@Merry Andrew,
Yeah . . . i don't know why i didn't remember that. You know, at one time his avatar picture was an owl. Same language, i suspect. South China>the Philippines>Macronesia>Micronesisa. The most startling thing i learned about this "Australasian" migration is that they made it to Madagascar.

@Setanta,
I think Pueo's first language could well be Hawaiian. He lives on Guam now but I remember his posting that he was born and raised in Hawaii.

Several of my favorites have died but I miss Ridinghood, Lord Ellpus, Gustav and SealPoet who I belive are still among the ranks of the living.

Wait.

This isn't about the epistemology of Middle-Earth?

@Setanta,
I surely miss Pueo and Scrat. Now, that would be the Laeckner Scrat from Iceland, and I didn't check the spelling. Don't recall much from Kitchen Pete, but won't ever forget JerryR.

@boomerang,
Yes, yes to all four of those, boomer. Met SealPoet and Mrs. SealPoet once. Would love to meet those other three.

Perception did not like me one bit. I remember he left during the time when Reagan died.

Striest - I may have the name spelled wrong. He was a military guy from, perhaps, Israel.

Stoat - the ladies went ga ga over him

@edgarblythe,
That's okay. I don't think anyone liked Perception, even the conservatives. He sure wore out his welcome with me.

I think you are thinking of SteissD. I regret his losing. I think he finally got some sort of immigrant status from Australia.

@roger,
SteissD! That's the guy. He was a gentleman and a good guy, in my remembrance.

@George,
Who, Ese and Slappy? I think they were actually different people. But who knows.

I see Slappy on Facebook when I check into my "sozobe" account (which is not often).

@sozobe,
No. They weren't the same guy.

Ese left when he graduated from law school, I think.

Oh gosh -- Hugh Jass!

Somewhere I have some "Ask Hugh Jass" threads from Abuzz archived. He was hilarious!
