How do I see my own threads in "new posts" and "new topics"?

When I start a new thread, is it possible to see it either in the "New posts" or "new topics" view? I can only see my own topics under the "My topics" view. Is that a preference I can change?

Thanks

@kickycan,
In "My Preferences" select

Topic List Preferences
Put unread topics above read topics: No

That should allow your new topic to pop up on top.

@kickycan,
Actually, I can now see this thread, but I still can't see the other thread I just started. This site sucks.

@kickycan,
Hmmm, I think you can see this thread because someone responded to it. Here are my settings. I tried to make it just like the pre-upgrade A2K.

Topic List Preferences
Put unread topics above read topics: NO

Topic Preferences
Collapse Unpopular Topics: NO

Collapse Unpopular Posts: NO

Show Signatures: YES

Truncate Long Posts: NO

Show quote button: YES

@engineer,
Wow, thanks for trying to help, but I think I figured it out. All this time I had the "filter noise" option selected, at the top left of the list of topics. I never even noticed that option before. I don't know how it decides what is or isn't noise, but I turned that option off and now I can see everything again.

@kickycan,
Um... but that means your thread was filtered as noise, kick.

You ok with that?

@Rockhead,
We like to think of A2K as an equal opportunity employer.
