Extending voting rights ?

Should voting rights be extended to people under 18? They are affected by the law as much anyone else. Remember, in the past, people thought that extending the voting rights to 5% of citizens from 1% would cause chaos, but it didn't. Later, they thought that extending the rights to women and blacks would cause chaos, but it didn't. So why not extend the rights to vote to high school juniors? They are no less capable of making decisions than adults are.

lowering the voting age must come together with the legal age. If under eighteen is considered juvenile then they are. If they can be meted out the full force of law like an adult then so be it but until then, they should not be allowed to vote.
