@Reyn,
Just a cautionary notice: you are dangerously close to being on-topic.

I get so tired, so incredibly tired, of Dys using every thread as a jumping off point for dumping on CA.

Speaking of derailed: A man I know had surgery yesterday. He was still drugged up and out of it when his wife got him in the Hoveround seat and they started up the sidewalk. But he was silly and gunned it at the curve, despite his wife's efforts to control his progress. The lawn was soft from recent rain. He bogged down and stopped. Well, she got me to help her stand him up, which was no easy task, as the man is heavy and was limp as a rag doll. He joked about spitting his chaw on me as I held him. His wife made a remark about it. I merely compared him to Clint Eastwood's Josey Wales character. We eventually got him and his ride back on the sidewalk. I wished him sweet dreams and went on my way.

@edgarblythe,
Drag racing on the Hoveround.

Damn kids.

Where I grew up the towns beach patrol would occassionally make the rounds, checking for beach badges, making sure no one was having too good a time, that sort of thing.

Welllll...they got a bonanza one year, and found it in the budget to purchase some orange golfcarts, that had the brand name "Cushman" blazened across the front.

So, I'm hanging out on the beach w/ some friends. On the blanket next to use where 2 young guys who were "horsing around"

Suddenly, one of the guys said "Cool it Scott, the Cushman's coming."

For the rest of the summer, and all of the next, that was our tagline.

"Cool it Scott, the Cushman's coming"

It never failed result in high-larity.

My dad had a cushman, but it was yellow.

Once he got drunk and drove it into the river.

Not so good times.
