Hello sun, I didn’t see any war in that video, I saw animals instinctively surviving. I did hear a human mention the word. Assembling in masses armed with weapons with the purpose of killing each other, no! I didn’t see that. Did you?

As far as any other association using the word war such a war on cancer? It’s an erroneous use of the word. Conflict of any nature causes cancer and drug use. You can’t cure an illness using the same mechanism that causes it. Yes, you can fight fire with fire, but that does not eliminate the underlying cause. That cause will mutate and appear elsewhere if the cause in not eliminated.

Nice to see you back. If the disabling of PM’s is not rectified soon, I will leave this forum you were inappropriately banned from. Don’t feel bad about being banned. If was a poor judgment call by whomever banned you. If this forum has value there would be no paranoia. That causes war too as people will always go to other domains to insight war or manifest how to be peaceful.

You see sun, you can’t “shut people up” who may disagree with another’s erroneous rules; they will find a way to communicate with each other. Some people just have a difficult time understanding that.

@William,
I am thinking war is nothing more or less that, territory, terrorism, terror.
It arming ones self against another's arms.

It is holding your self so no else can hold you.
It is letting your self go so no else will let you go.

But then I wonder could it also be;
holding your self so else wont let you go.
Letting your self go so else wont hold you.
(They could both be one in the same?)
And also be;
Holding else so you can hold your self.
Letting else go so you can let yourself go.

It is knowing the self to be able to unknow the not self.
It is unknowing the self be able to know the not self.

War on terror is war on war.

War is a paradox as it is creating terror to uncreate terror.

War is self perpetuation or simply perpetuation.

Self perpetuates perpetuating self.
Fear perpetuates perpetuating fear.
Violence perpetuates perpetuating violence.

War can never end once it has started?
War has never begun?

Peace is not perpetuationable?

Edit;
(Holding other else so you can hold your own else)
(Letting other else go so you can let your own else go)
(I am thinking I would like to scrub "self" if I may? "self" is either only a fraction of the equation or the only way to create the equation, how well would any of this war exposition last if we discounted "self" entirely from all of it?)
(When is war not self?)
(When is self not war?)

All my best William and thank you for thinking so tenderly and decently of me,
its reassuring to know I'm not believed the worst of by everyone,
no matter how undeserving I am of your effort,

let us now allow the pooch its snooze.

I'm in a better more capable mood and situation right now, I picked up my first ever lottery winnings yesterday and it was ever more than I had first anticipated,
good day.

Hi!

So anyway, back to the point - What is the 'Universal' requirement that ALL levels of WAR MUST concede to?

Have a good one!

@mark noble,
The best definition of war I have come upon is by Dr. Robert S. Hartman:

War =df.= Organized mass-murder in the name of a good cause.

Examples of causes in the name of which wars have been fought are: Defense, Freedom, Socialism, To Preserve Democracy, To End all Wars, etc.

Since Ethics teaches us to honor and respect each individual, and to maximize net value in every situation, war commits ethical and moral fallacies by doing harm.

Perhaps the discussion on Ends and Means, on pages 36-40, of A Unified Theory of Ethics, would help. See these links to read the three parts of it:

@mark noble,
Hi there, hey there Smile

War is conflict. It is two opposing realities encountering one another. The cheetah vs the gazelle. The Ally vs the Axis power. In humanity, most wars have been based on survival, if not all. It does not matter how far from the "action" one exists. A person supports a war when they believe their livelihood is at stake. Then again, war doesn't exist at all for War, traditionally, is a conflict between right and wrong, good and evil, and as I have said in the past those are subjective to each person's reality and would not exist without my or your experience.

Nice to see that you are still posting.

@A Lyn Fei,
Hi Indeed!

EXACTLY!!! The universal factor behind all conceptual levels of war is "CONFLICT". War is conflict and conflict is war.

I am seemingly unsuspended, my friend. My only real loss was contact with you and another good friend here.

If you go to my most recent post or 2 on the 'Philiforum check-in' thread, you can get my e-mail address.

Damn good to see (read) you!
