I have to say, I'd trust Basil Marceaux moreso than I'd trust your average, garden -variety politician.
He seems well-meaning and sincere and though not smooth and well-spoken, maybe that means he'd make a good change from business as usual.
At the very least - I admire his courage and commitment.
And Tennessee is one of the most beautiful southern states - the Blue Ridge Mountains, not to mention Memphis - talk about the BLUES!
If it weren't so damned landlocked - I might move there. Especially if the people were unjaded enough to elect someone like Basil.
I like his idea of planting all the bare, asphalted spaces with greenery. The man knows something about cutting greenhouse gasses.
