Anyone in deep love for this incredible wicked television institution?

I know I am. I only wish that the Discovery Channel would allow for more full episodes online.

That said, I just finished watching some kind of celebratory episode online:
Quote:
On this unique episode of MythBusters, Adam, Jamie, Kari, Tory and Grant get all nostalgic with a look back at their top 25 most celebrated MythBusters moments.

@dlowan,
I like the show because it takes good looks at some scientific (and not so scientific proposals). The only thing that pisses me off is the way they draaaag on each segment until the very end of the show when all the major explosions occur.

I loved their SDUCKTAPE segments, especially when they made the ducktape sailboat and the ducktape cannon. I love the way they supply the accompanying data by making these simple yet effective measuring contraptions like a huge ruler to measure the Fps's of a cannonball made of wood or cheese.

@tsarstepan,
I like the show. But it's a bit slow getting to the end to see the answers. And too many commercials (as usual with network shows).

@tsarstepan,
Love the original dudes, and the old shows. I really don't like the new people (all three in the back) and I can't stand how scripted and cutesy it's become. It used to be way more straightforward with grumpy bickering between Jamie and Adam that was unintentionally hilarious. (Once it became intentional it wasn't nearly as funny.)

And Adam has become too confident. He used to be scared of Jamie (who was scary!) and somehow that was more appealing.

@sozobe,

I found Adam Savage's TED talk to be really interesting....

Here's a subtitled version.

@sozobe,
wew , too much information soz. I hadnt thought about the "build tem". I like the way they do pilot testing of concept before they go full bore. Very consulting ngineering.

@farmerman,
I love the supporting gang of Grant, Tori, and Keri. They are another wing of Mythbusters brand of science and crazy engineering.

@djjd62,
Adam and Jamie can take those lugs on with their hands tied behind their backs while being blindfolded and plastered with half a liter of Mythbusters brand/made vodka.

@tsarstepan,
Who could fail to adore the show that proved that you can, in fact, polish a turd? The show that discusses at length which species' turd is best for polishing, and which method of polishing is best for turd? Certainly not my inner three-year-old!

@Thomas,
I watched that episode with scientific objectivity. They each burnished their turds and I recall that Jamie, especially, produced a nice high gloss finish to his dung ball.

Did they use horse pucks? I missed the discussion of the raw material.

They indeed created the holy grail for turd polishers everywhere.

@tsarstepan,
I usually like to watch MB, but 99% of all their tests, are poorly thought out. Just take their tree trunk catapult, anyone reasonable knowledge about wood would know the trunk should have been split to avoid fracture, thus increasing it's flex strength.
But I understand most of these poorly thought out things are due to strict deadlines.

@HexHammer,
Their science is often faulty but I just love watching their epic failures. They're fanatical and ambitious pursuit of science is also admirable and watch worthy as well.
