Fascinating tv.
The US womens soccer team is being sufficiently offensive in the World Cup. They clobbered minnows Thailand 13-0 in a pool game and celebrated so excessively that the rest of the world was appalled.
But, apparently, this is the standard of sportsmanship that the US expects. i.e., none!
I never watch soccer on TV because of the few scoring opportunities; however, arena soccer remedies that and is exciting.
As boring as soccer is to watch, it probably is one of the best team sports in which to participate. But when I was in school in the fifties there was little interest in the sport in the school curriculum.
