@Musky Hunter,
If I am understanding correctly, we are comparing the Christian Science Monitor with David Duke?

@Fatal Freedoms,

The report was from msnbc, not exactly an anti-Obama source.

Further, the point of the Christian Science Monitor article was not that either Obama or his father practiced the Muslim faith but rather how the Muslim world and particularly that part of the Muslim world that follows Sharia Law sees them.

He was not addressing any old issues. He was pointing out how the muslims view those of them that go against the faith...if you can call it that.

The asad thing is alot on americans actually believe Obama is a muslim,i watched plenty coverage of the election race,american and british tv and couldn't believe some of the stuff that people were coming away with,one of the best was on british tv when asking a man about Obama,he said "barack Hussein Obama,that is not an american name" What exactly is an American name ! George Bush,Sean Hannity,Bill O'reilly ?

The USA is an immigrant nation,the only people with real american names are the indigenous population,don't think iv'e heard of any Politicians called Sitting Bull.

Since when do we take the "Muslim perspective" as the de facto? To say Obama's father was a Muslim is disingenuous.

I didn't say, insinuate or quote that Obama's father was a Muslim. Well... Maybe I quoted that from another site... I would have to check.Very Happy

The point is that the radical Muslims see him as having been Muslim, whether he was or he was not.

And the point is that their perception will affect how he is viewed within the Muslim world.
