Cheney is fear mongering? Of course in war, some participants participate for reasons other than "hating the enemy". The enemy in this case being "us". I'm sure most of the members of the enemy forces of the coalition were most likely fighting for the benefits that their nations offer them. Like the educational possibilities and the VA loans available to them. Or possibly simply to see the world. Certainly if they are freed, they will go home and enjoy the fruits of their labor and sacrifices.
These gentlemen were collected off the field of battle. They are not criminals. They are combatants from a war that is not complete. They will return to the field and kill more of our troops. They should be held where and as they are. With less attention paid to their personal wants, needs. They are prisoners and deserve at least a raw potato each day. Just in case they harmed one of our warriors, as that was their intent.
