McCain adviser got money from Georgia - Yahoo! News

WASHINGTON – John McCain's chief foreign policy adviser and his business partner lobbied the senator or his staff on 49 occasions in a 3 1/2-year span while being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars by the government of the former Soviet republic of Georgia.

The payments raise ethical questions about the intersection of Randy Scheunemann's personal financial interests and his advice to the Republican presidential candidate who is seizing on Russian aggression in Georgia as a campaign issue.

McCain warned Russian leaders Tuesday that their assault in Georgia risks "the benefits they enjoy from being part of the civilized world."

On April 17, a month and a half after Scheunemann stopped working for Georgia, his partner signed a $200,000 agreement with the Georgian government. The deal added to an arrangement that brought in more than $800,000 to the two-man firm from 2004 to mid-2007. For the duration of the campaign, Scheunemann is taking a leave of absence from the firm.

Are you trying to say that Obama isn't a special interest trojan horse? As much as I hate McCain, the fact is that Obama and his cradle to the grave socialism will destroy America, and his acceptance of the Moveon.org endorsement, and their anti-American left wing agenda, headed by multibillionare communist number one Soros, is pretty disgusting, not too mention the fact that his campaign is filled to the brim with former Washinton lobbyist. I stand by my idea that McCain is a sacrificial lamb, and the powers that be needed him so that they could push a naive puppet into place, only problem is that I don't think Obama would last a month as president.

The US is a capitilist country and will continue to be so under Obama,the way you are talking you would think he is going to turn the US into the old soviet union.

@scooby-doo cv,
"headed by multibillionaire communist number one Soros"

According to Neil Clark (writing in the New Statesman)

The conventional view,shared by many on the left,is that socialism collapsed in Eastern Europe because of systematic weaknesses and the political elite's failure to build popular support.

That may be partly true,but Soros's role was crucial. From 1979 he distributed $3 million a year to dissidents including Poland's Soidarity movement,Charter 77in Czechoslovakia and Andrei Sakhorov in the Soviet Union.In 1984,he founded hos first Open Society Institute in Hungary and pumped millions of dollars into opposition movements and independent media.

George Soros a Communist ? i dont think so !
