Saddam Pursued Nukes

In seven months of secret debriefings, Saddam Hussein admitted that he faked having weapons of mass destruction but planned on developing a weapons of mass destruction program with nuclear capability within a year.

Saddam made the admissions in videotaped interviews with George L. Piro, an FBI agent who was assigned by the FBI with the CIA’s approval to try to develop his cooperation.

For my book "The Terrorist Watch: Inside the Desperate Race to the Next Attack" — being published this week — Piro described the debriefings, which have never been previously revealed.

The book is being excerpted exclusively in the December issue of Newsmax magazine.

“You’ve got to talk to George Piro,” John Miller, the assistant FBI director for public affairs, was telling me over lunch at Brasserie Les Halles in downtown Washington as we discussed plans for the book in August 2006. “That’ll be your best interview.”

Miller should know. Before taking the FBI job, he was an anchor for ABC’s "20/20," and he is one of the few journalists to have interviewed Osama bin Laden.

Saddam got what was coming to him, that old scumbag. He raised and groomed his sons to be sadists and mass murderers. He got to watch the UNITED STATES gun them down, like the criminals they were. FIGHT, TROOPS, FIGHT. Fight the Terror, and bring it down in flames and hot lead.

not really, success in Iraq is currently at a record high, deaths are at record lows... bad news is page one, good news is buried if mentioned

why did rumsfield go to baghdad and shake his hand after the massacre of the kurds,and continue to arm and back him,when they knew exactly what he had done,they didnt give a **** about him commiting genocide on his people back then,so dont let anyone tell you the war in iraq,was about getting rid of a evil tyrant and bringing freedom to the iraqi people.

the good news is usually insignificant compared to the bad news. The goods things that do happen are like "Two US soldiers rescued a kitten from a local Iraqi building-top" or something to that affect...

Why did Great Britain attack Saddam Hussein? Blair said the war was all about getting rid of a bloodthirsty tyrant. Why? Great Britain is hypocritical.:argue:

Blair or Bliar as he is known here in the UK,said the war was about WMDs,it was not about him being a tyrant,that came into play later,when they coud not find those elusive WMDs,the main reason he is no longer PM.
