What was the insurgent death total? Is this total included in there estimate? If so it would indicate the exact opposite?

That's tough distinction to make because most of the insurgents ARE civilians that are simply taking up arms to fight the coalition forces.

One distintion the media never makes but has a decided outcome as to real numbers of real civilian death totals. Accidental death. If they are actively fighting IMO they are not real civilian deaths.
So i take it you think the insurgent count is part of this death totals? Which would also indicate the surge is working?

American revolution? Not civilians? Yes, they were. Would you fight if a foreign power invaded New Mexico? Local militias are civilian fighters. Being a combatant doesn't mean you are in the military.
